An essential aspect of our brand philosophy revolves around sustainability and we aim to apply the same to the design and production of our garments. We are committed to carrying out ethical practices and keeping our supply chain as transparent as possible. Our approach remains the same from ideating our designs to choosing fabrics and packaging.

We resonate with the concept of ‘less is more’ and envision our brand to be all-inclusive with respect to our design, innovation and ethical production. With every collection, we intend to deliver aesthetics that do not compromise on utility.

80% of our garments in the first collection have been made using GOTS-certified 100% organic cotton.

What is GOTS?

It is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.

What’s the difference between GOTS-certified cotton and regular cotton?

Organic cotton holds a place over normal cotton primarily because it is relatively sustainable. It makes no use of chemicals, fertilizers or pesticides in its production which ultimately protects local habitats and the farmers who grow it.

Additionally, it uses less water, preserves soil quality, and limits soil erosion. To put things into perspective, we save about 1,982 gallons of water per cotton garment manufactured.

Along with ensuring less wastage, our trims and accessories are OEKO TEX certified, which implies that they have been tested and proven to be free of harmful levels of toxic substances.

Our boxes are made from recycled corrugated boards and printed with toxin-free inks. They are made from waste and are further recyclable and biodegradable. As is with our mailers which are made from recycled kraft paper. For best composting results, remove the shipping label (recycle it), cut it into small pieces and throw the same into a compost bin.

The “Made in India” initiative is important to our ethos as it gives us an opportunity to play a small role in this.

When we use the phrase “empower our community”, empowering local artisans and craftsmen is an important aspect of it.

Our entire collection is made in India so as to ensure we play our part in domestic growth and minimize our logistical footprint.

Aesthetics and function shouldn’t come at the cost of disruption.

At Antigravity, we aim to create products that have minimal environmental costs. The functionality need not be restricted to just the wearable but also the production of the same.

We have a long way ahead of us but we are committed to remaining environmentally conscious. Slowly but surely.
